Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 17, 18 and 21 January 1947
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Friday 17 January 1947, where he mentioned Dumia's return to teaching after the end of the school vacation. On Saturday, 18 January 1947, Sakakini wrote that he had cancelled the financial loan that he had previously taken from the National Bank, with a value of 800 pounds. At the end of the page, he wrote his diary, dated Thursday, 23 January 1947, this day coincided with his 70th birthday, then after that, he mentioned Stabler’s travel to the United States of America, and he came to bid them farewell in the early morning, as he was considered a member of the family.
