An Indictment of Officers in the Jordanian Arab Army, 18 June 1957

Issued in Arabic in the name of King Husein by the investigation committee on 18 June 1957, an indictment headed by Izzat Hasan with the membership of Colonel Mohammad Saadi, Colonel Mohammad Tawfiq Rosan, the Chief of Court Mohammad ad-Durrah and the Assistant Attorney General in Jerusalem Khalil Silwani. In it are the details of the secret meetings held by the officers to spread hatred against King Hussein, and their plans to dissolve parliament and end the constitution, among others, in addition to the agreement of some of them with the Egyptian embassy in Jordan to complete a campaign of assassinations of some Jordanian personalities, and some of them were proven guilty of some charges such as attempting to participate in the assault on the life of King Hussein, and the initiation of work to change the constitution of the state by violence, and the others were charged with the crime of participating in the two previous charges, and accordingly, it was decided to prevent their trial and leave their matter to the competent authority and to prosecute the guilty for what was issued by them and release the detainees.
